The components of the oil-injected rotary screw air compressors have been carefully designed in house. This reduces losses and pressure drop to a minimum, resulting in the highest compressor package efficiency. The air compressor also uses reliable components to guarantee operation in the toughest environments and running conditions. Advanced monitoring system

Most production processes create fluctuating levels of demand. This creates energy waste in low air demand periods. Using the Elektronikon® unit controller, you can manually or automatically switch between two different setpoints to optimize energy and reduce cost.

In addition, the sophisticated algorithm runs the drive motor only when needed. As the desired setpoint is maintained while the drive motor’s run time is minimized, energy consumption is kept to a minimum.

Variable Speed Drive

Over 80% of a compressor’s lifecycle cost is taken up by the energy it consumes. The generation of compressed air can account for more than 40% of a plant’s total electricity bill. To cut your energy costs we’ve pioneered in Variable Speed Drive (VSD) Technology in the compressed air industry.

Atlas Copco’s VSD technology closely follows the air demand by automatically adjusting the motor speed. This results in energy savings of up to 35%.

Recover your energy

Exceptional energy savings

Atlas Copco’s VSD⁺ technology closely follows the air demand by automatically adjusting the motor speed to match the compressed air supply to the demand. Combined with the innovative patented iPM (interior Permanent Magnet) motor (IE4), the GA VSD⁺ achieves average energy savings of 50%. This reduces the total lifecycle costs of the compressor up to 37% on average.

On top of energy savings up to 50% , the GA VSD⁺ realizes a Free Air Delivery (FAD) increase of up to 12% for improved efficiency and performance.
